We received reports starting early this morning ET that our service was returning implausible temperature forecasts, with daily low temperatures in the continental US reaching as low as -100°F (-73°C) over the next few days.

This was caused by a glitch in how we ingest one of our source weather models. We disabled this model around 9:30 AM ET, and each of our API application hosts had received corrected data by around 10:30 AM ET. We had corrected the glitch and returned all weather models into rotation by 12:30 PM ET.

Correcting this issue turned up a number of other issues in our network, particularly regarding the duration of time between when our weather model updates and when our application hosts start serving that data. We have also corrected these issues.

Thanks as always for bearing with us!
